Mid Autumn Festival
For children 4 - 10 years of age, accompanied by a parent or caregiver. A special storytime celebrating the Mid-Autumn Festival ( 过中秋 ) facilitated by the Milton Chinese Canadian Association. The program will feature the book "Celebrating the Mid-Autumn Festival", which weaves together two storylines: one is a heartwarming tale of grandparents preparing for and eagerly awaiting their children and grandchildren's return for the holiday; the other is a fun story about a little mouse living in the courtyard of the same house, who invites his friends to celebrate the festival together. Through these parallel narratives, the children will deeply experience the true meaning of the Mid-Autumn Festival — reunion and sharing. Following the storytime, the participants will create mooncakes using playdough.
